Operation CARE is a state-sponsored national program designed to reduce motor vehicle crashes, injuries and fatalities during nugor holiday weekends. Virginia’s involvement in the program includes increasing the number of troopers patrolling certain sections of interstate, primary and secondary roads. This is the 10th consecutive year Virginia State Police have participated in the program.
