Washington Business Council to meet
The Washington Business Council will meet Thursday, Sept. 3, at 6:15 p.m. at The Village Cafe in town. In addition to a sneak preview of The Cafe, fall and winter town activities end celebrations will be discussed. All members are urged to attend.
Aerobic dance classes
An eight-week series of aerobic dance classes will begin Tuesday, Sept. 8. Evening classes will be held Tuesday and Thursday at 6 p.m. at Rappahannock County Elementary School. Afternoon classes will be held Monday and Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Flint Hill fire hall. Class fee is $35 for twice a week and $45 for unlimited attendance. Beginners welcomed. Settle reunion
The Settle family reunion will be held on Saturday, September 5 beginning at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are urged to attend and bring a covered dish and beverage.
NSDAR to meet
The Culpeper Minutemen Chapter NSDAR will meet Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 1:30 p.m. in the Culpeper United Methodist Church. Mrs. Morton C. Blackwell, the speaker, will show the film “We, the People.” Mrs. Blackwell is a member of Eleanor Wilson Chapter, DCDAR, and is chairman of Virginia Eagle Forum, a national lobby founded by Phyllis Schlafly, which seeks to influence public policy as it affects the fondly. She has been active in conservative politics and patriotic causes since her college days.
