music could find no better setting than the open air of the natural amphitheater at Oasis Vineyard. Tucked into the base of the Blue Ridge between Huntly and Hume, the vineyards stretch over the rolling hills that will serve as a backdrop for the pondside stage. Fodderstack Mountain and her sisters stand in the distance. It is a romantic scene that makes truth of the state’s advertising slogan: “Virginia Is for Lovers.”

Tickets for the concert, which will begin at 6 p.m., are available from Oasis Winery and through the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community in Washington. (The non-profit organization, dedicated to promoting the visual and performing arts, will receive a portion of the proceeds from the ticket sales.) Food and drink will be available on the grounds. For additional information, call the winery at 635-7627 or RAAC at 675-3193.
