arts program
The Bluemont Concert Series Artist-in-Education Program opens the 1987-88 school year with a wonderful array of programs available to the schools in the Northern Piedmont area. Next week Bluemont will send every school a presentation packet offering a wide variety of topnotch artist/educators who present high-quality assembly programs and workshops.
“Bluemont is an arts resource for schools,” said Peter H. Dunning, executive director of the Bluemont Concert Series. “Many school administrators have brought our wonderful assemblies to their students year after year, but we can go far beyond that in helping schools integrate the arts into their curriculum. Bluemont’s Artist-in-Education Program can assist educators in creating an arts program designed to meet each school’s particular needs.”
Through curriculum enrichment planning, workshops in the arts, long-term residencies, assemblies, residency prep materials and followup, staff development workshops, and inter-disciplinary presentations, Bluemont offers schools the assistance and tools to plan and present an effective, cohesive arts program.
