• The legendary Country Gentlemen, bluegrass music's most enduring and popular band, will perform in concert at the Gay Street Theater this Friday, April 29, at 7 p.m.
• Clean up, fix up, pick up, and paint: To encourage property owners and renters to improve the appearance of the town, Washington's Town Council has arranged for a 20 percent discount at the Paint Shop and Sherman Williams in Warrenton and Royal Plaza Paint Shop in Front Royal on all paints and selected tools and equipment. The discounts will be given through October with the signature of the mayor or a council member.
