Copies of the BID Documents may be obtained from Joyce Engineering, Inc., P.O. Box 1886, 1407 E. Main Street, Princeton, West Virginia 24740, in accordance with Instructions to Bidders upon depositing the sum of $75.00 for each set. Only complete sets will be issued.
One-half of the deposit will be refunded to bona-fide bidders upon the return of the BID Documents in good condition within ten (10) days after the BID opening. No refunds will be issued to non-bidders.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 a m. on Thursday, May 5, 1988, at the Office of the Building, Zoning and Administrative Offices to review the scope of work and clarify any aspect of the work which may be in question.
Bidders must contact the Administrative Assistant to the Board of Supervisors for access to the project site.
All BIDS must be accompanied by a certified check or BID BOND in the amount of 5% of the total BID made payable to the County of Rappahannock, Virginia, in accordance with Section 11-57. The competitive sealed bidding procedures of Chapter 7, Title 11 of the Code of Virginia shall apply. The winning bidder shall agree to comply with Section 11 -58 or 11 -61.
No BID shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after BID opening except as provided by Code of Virginia, Section 11 -54 Procedure (i).
Bidders must be licensed contractors in the Commonwealth of Virginia in accordance with Code of Virginia Title 54, Chapter 7.
Rappahannock County reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any and/or all bids. <
