Steve Brown arrived Friday from Blois, France, to spend some time with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown before transferring to Greenville, Miss., on a new assignment.

Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Lyne were Mrs. Fathering Ware of Hollieford and Mrs. Frances Johnson of Woodbridge.

Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Nethers of Stephens City were Sunday luncheon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ranny Aylor and Mrs. Robert Nethers. Mrs. Dorothy Lewis and granddaughter Karen Corder of Huntly and Mrs. F. D. Coffey Jr. were afternoon visitors. Heather Aylor was a weekend guest of Karen Corder in Huntly.

Mrs. John P. Snead is a patient in University Hospital, Charlottesville, where she had hip surgery as the result of a fall.

Luncheon and bridge guests of Mrs. Frances Tabler and Mrs. Brown Miller last Thursday at the Tabler home were Mrs. Peggy Pryde and Mrs. N.K.G. Tholand.

Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Reams and sons Brad and Morgan were weekend guests of Mrs. T. M. Johnston.

Mr. and Mrs. George W. Hawkins attended funeral services in Front Royal Wednesday for Mrs. Hawkins’ brother-in-law J. Paul Jones.

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown and Mrs. Frances Thornton attended the Brown-Turner wedding and reception in Wytheville Saturday.

Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Nethers were Tracey Bolyard of Frederick, Md., her fiance Lt. Richard Shea of Virginia Beach, and Glenn Bolyard of Centreville. Mr. and Mrs. Nethers are also to be congratulated upon the birth of another great-grandchild Shawna Denise, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Drusky of Garfield Heights, Ohio.

The Administrative Board of the i Sperryville United Methodist ! Church met on Monday night with Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Nethers. Members present were Rev. Merlin Shorb, Hugh Chrisman, Julian Brown, Mrs. Lee Swindler, Mrs. Roy Swindler, Mrs. Jimmy Wayland, Mrs. Catherine Brown and Mrs. Ranny Aylor.
