The movie The Untouchables will be playing at the Gay Street Theatre on Saturday and Sunday, April 30 and May 1, at 7:30 each evening. Director Brian De Palma scorches the screen once again with this thrilling cops and robbers epic. Rising star Kevin Costner is Eliot Ness, the fearless Treasury agent who leads the deadly crusade against A1 Capone s ruthless syndicate. In an Oscar-nominated performance, Sean Connery plays the two-fisted Irish cop who becomes the group’s mentor. Academy Award-winner Robert De Niro is absolutely chilling as A1 Capone. The movie is rated R. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for children.
Annual geranium sale
Orange Cooperative Pre-school is having their annual geranium sale, offering geraniums in red, white, pink and salmon in four-inch pots, priced at $15 a dozen (12 plants) or $1.25 each. Plants are available at the school the last week in April.
Dr. Adams promotes health
with a smile
Dr. Hunter (Patch) Adams, medical reformer and director of the 17-year-old Gesundheit Institute, will appear at the Gay St. Theatre on Friday, May 20, with his “Magic Elixirs of Life.” Playing a snake-oh salesman, he’ll promote tonics for healthy living, nutrition, exercise, wonder, curiosity, love, nature — 18 in all. Tickets for the 7:30 p.m! show are available at Mountainside Market in Washington. Proceeds will benefit the Institute, a non-profit health community.
