HOW REALTORS

ARE PAID

If you’ve ever sold a home before and are wondering how our agency is paid, here’s a quick rundown:

Most properties are sold on a commission basis. This means that , if you select our agency to market your home, we will receive a percentage of the sale price for professional services rendered.

The commission is usually paid from the sale proceeds at the closing when the title is transferred. In other words you will not need any upfront money to market your property. Our agency will assume all marketing expenses, such as advertising; and will be reimbursed via the commission after the sale is completed.

The percentage of the sale price asked by different agencies may vary, since commissions are negotiable. In the course of listing your home and preparing a marketing program for your property, the Realtor will discuss the commission policy with you and give you a full explanation of the services you can expect.
