Two projects in Rappahannock
County make up a portion of the $3,601,743 in contracts recently awarded for heavy-duty resurfacing of 139 miles of highway in the Culpeper District. The work in Rappahannock will cover 2.8 miles of US 211 and Secondary 729. Resurfacing projects are paid for from state highway funds.
Ribbon cutting ceremony and dedication of the Rappahannock County Park will take place on Sunday, May 1, at 2 p.m. Tennis and basketball exhibitions are planned and free refreshments will be served. The public is invited.
