Samuel Randolph North of Front Royal, two sisters, Minnie W. Goranson of Chester Gap and Georgia M. Brown of Philomont, and nine grandchildren.
The funeral was conducted May 3 at the Chester Gap Baptist Church by the Rev. William L. Alford and the Rev. Jerry Young. Burial was in Williams Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Albert Cameron, Doug Williams, Kevin Ricker, Jerry Melbourne, Samuel Melbourne and Delaney Melbourne.
Honorary pallbearers were Lonnie Williams, Lewin Williams, Michael Ray Williams, Bruce Williams, Glenn Williams. Ricky Williams, Harold North and James F. Lilly III.
Daisy Owens
Daisy Jane Owens, 83, of Berryville, died April 28 in the Rose Hill Nursing Home, Berryville.
Mrs. Owens was born Dec. 26, 1904, in Sperryville, the daughter of the late Aubrey and Josephine Jenkins Leake. She was a former nurse’s aide at H.F. Byrd Inc. in Berrvville and a member of the Keystone Baptist Church in Berryville.
Her husband Jesse Lee Owens Sr. predeceased her.
Surviving are four daughters. Valley Frank of Winchester, Helen Vorous of Middleway, W.Va., Lena Mae Jenkins of Charles Town, W.Va., and Hazel Sanders of Herndon, four sons, Jesse Lee Owens Jr., Franklin I). Owens and Aubrey Allen Owens of Berryville and Douglas Owens of Gore, three sisters, Inez Boyd of Winchester, Susie Ashwood of Columbus, N.J., and Stella Myers of Ruffs Dale.
