“We are also reminding county government offices, realtors, attorneys and others involved in real estate transactions of our AFIDA obligations, and asking for their cooperation and assistance by notifying our office of foreign investor land transactions,” the ASCS official added.
Foreigners have reported owning about 12.4 million acres of agricultural land in the United States, according to statistics compiled by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
