The Rappahannock County Health Department, located on GayStreet in Washington, recentlymarked the first anniversary of its comprehensive maternity clinic.
The clinic, sponsored by the State Health Department and the University of Virginia Hospital, offers pre-natal care by health department nurses and physician and nutritional guidance by nutritionists. The pre-natal care is then followed by delivery of the child at the University of Virginia Hospital.
