competitions held in Richmond on May 13-15. RCHS will also be taking a balsa wood, bridge building team and two Technology Bowl (similiar to Pop Quiz) teams to the state competition. Last year the Technology Bowl Level I team (eighth grade Exploring Technology students) took second in the state-wide competition.
“The most impressive trophy we received was Anna Hudson’s third place trophy for Drawing Interpretations,” said teacher Scott Currie. Anna was competing against students from AAA schools who had had much more training and experience in this area.
Mr. Currie said, “We’re happy that the students take pride in w’hat they did.” Their pride may be even greater next year when RCHS hopes to host the festival.
