A reward of $5,000 has been offered by the U.S. Forest Service for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any person willfully or maliciously setting on fire or causing to be set on fire, any timber, underbrush, or grass on the George Washington National Forest, said Wayne Kelley, Forest Supervisor. “The reward is being offered because of the recent high number of fires in the Forest, most of which appear to be arson caused,” he said.
