From left, Ted Kruczkowski, Dane Snyder and Rod Dalby had been looking forward to a day-long motorcycle trip for three weeks. But last Thursday’s rain caught up with them as they neared Sperryville, so they sought refuge under the roof of an abandoned fruit stand. The three are members of the Army’s Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, which performed in the Flint Hill parade.
