In accordance with the mandate of the Virginia General Assembly, the Rappahannock County public schools will develop a Family Life Education Curriculum during the 1988-89 school year. The state has directed that the program become part of the curriculum in grades K-12 in the fall of 1989.
“In order to complete this important task,” Superintendent David Gangel said, “the school division is seeking volunteers to help develop the curriculum in such a way as to be appropriate and meaningful for students and to reflect the highest level of moral and ethical integrity.”
Dr. Gangel stressed- that “there is not yet a curriculum. That is what we are in the process of developing -and we want a committee of volunteers who represent the community to help us.”
