Certificates may be issued to civilian and military personnel whomeet the following requirements:
An applicant must be at least 18, years of age. Under special circumstances which are considered justifiable by local school authorities, the age limit may be lowered.
Applicants must have been a physical resident of Virginia thirty days prior to applying for testing.
Persons interested in taking the test may apply at their LOCAL office of the Superintendent of Schools in the County in which they reside.
Applications will be accepted through Sept. 2. A fee of $20 is charged for the battery of five tests • and $4 for each re-test. Applicants who apply must present their Social Security Card or another means of identification when an application is made for GED.
