Verlie M. Fincham
Mrs. Verlie May Fincham, 78, of Washington, widow of James Homer Fincham, died Aug. 20, at the residence of her daughter near Sperryville.
She was a native of Rappahannock County and was the daughter of the late Lloyd H. and Delila Clatterbuck Horton.
She was a member of the Church of the Brethren.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Clark, Speiryville and Ruth Fincham, Washington, two granddaughters, Rhonda Clark, Front Royal and Maxie LeSueur, Culpeper; one great-grandson, Joseph LeSueur, Culpeper; a brother, Laymon Horton, Washington; and a sister, Elsie Bailey, Rixeyville.
A funeral was held on Aug. 23, at Gid Brown Pentecostal Church. The Rev. Archie Clatterbuck officiated.
Interment was in Washington Masonic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Clark, Jr., Clyde Pullen, Thomas Jenkins II, John W. Burke, Bill Pullen and Levi Alther.
Geest-Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Emma Cornell Dwyer, 70, of Culpeper, wife of the late Ray Hamilton Dwyer, died Aug. 19, at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.
