Miss Molly McCoy, daughter of

Miss Molly McCoy, daughter of Mrs. Nancy Reeve of Washington and Mr. Quentin McCoy of Coebum and Mr. Mark Bailey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Bailey of Washington were married on Saturday, June 18 at 1 o’clock. The bride is the granddaughter of Mrs. F. Downing Wood of Washington and the groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. L. V. Merril.

The double ring ceremony was performed at the home of Miss Mary M. Wood at Sunnyside by the Rev. Jennings Hobson and the Rev. Steven Scoggin.

The wedding music was performed by Bonnie Williams at the organ.

Mrs. Dorothy Reeve, grandmother of the bride, made the floral arrangements.

The bride, given im marriage by her father, wore a traditional white satin gown with a sweetheart neckline accented by venise lace and puff sleeves,. The gown had a fitted bodice that came to a point and was adorned with seed pearls and beads. The full southern style skirt, accented with a ruffled bottom extended into a full cathedral train. Her fingertip veil of illusion fell from a lace caplet, tipped with seed pearls and edged with Chantilly lace to match the dress. She carried a bouquet of red and pink roses, daisies, sweet peas, com flowers and baby’s breath.

Nina Norman, sister of the groom, was matron of honor. Ellen Pullen was maid of honor. Alice Reeve, sister of the bride, Beth Conover, cousin of the bride and Debbie Wagoner were bridesmaids. The attendants wore daphney satin rose tea length gowns with a fitted bodice and sweetheart neckline, short puff sleeves with bows at the top and a full skirt. They carried bouquets of pink roses, sweet peas, daisies and baby’s breath.
