States by people from Sweden and Finland. In addition, the celebration is part of a year-long series of events commemorating the 50th anniversary of Olive Mill’s, an historic roller mill situated in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia.
Among the main attractions of the celebration will be the Norwegian Church Choir of Washington. The renowned choir will be featured on Dec. 10 from 12:30-2:30 p.m., for a special performance of Scandinavian Christmas medleys and other traditional holiday carols. Scandinavian baked goods and travel films will provide additional Scandinavian ‘flavor’ to the event. Wine-tastings by some of the award-winning wineries of Madison County will also be available, with different wineries each weekend.
The celebration will happen snow or shine.
