In addition to his legislative duties, Mr. Guest manages the family’s farm outside Front Royal and serves on the board of directors of Peoples Bank of Front Royal, Bessemer Securities Corp. and Bessemer Trust.
“I know,” Mr. Guest said Monday, “that holding this office is one of the highest honors one can have, and I approach this quest with all due humility and respect. . .The office of governor presents an increased challenge and opportunity to be of service, to attempt to ensure that the community is better for my having been here, to pass on to future generations a better tomorrow.

I have the experience in the government of Virginia; I reflect and represent the views of most Virginians; I have the desire to undertake the increased challenge on behalf of all Virginian? } . and I ask the assistance of all Virgin- ■ ians to achieve the Republican nomination and subsequent election to serve as governor for all Virginians.”
