Remember, this is an event which benefits the community and relies solely on community participation for its success. So, I urge everyone to participate in the fourth Community Recycling Day, tentatively scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 17 from 9-11 a.m.
There is one suggestion which may make things run more smoothly: We had to throw away many boxes, feed bags and other containers that could be reused. Perhaps people could plan to take their containers back with them to use again.
Sturdy boxes, such as tomato or banana boxes, or feed bags, or small garbage containers for each type of recyclable, all work well.
