For more than 50 years photographer Marshall P. Hawkins has chronicled the riding world of foxhunting, racing, and eventing. In all regions of the country, Hawkins' photos are treasured by horse lovers of all stripes.
In 1962, Hawkins' instincts led him to capture Jacqueline Kennedy, then First Lady, as she was catapulted, head-first, over a fence while foxhunting with the Piedmont Hunt.
