The administrators and teachers at Rappahannock County High School are now studying options for curriculum expansion and lengthening the school day to seven class periods.
Requirements for graduation are becoming more stringent every year, with students needing additional credits for graduation and for special academic diplomas, Superintendent David Gangel told the School Board at its November meeting. “We have to do something to meet this change.”
“By offering additional courses, we will put our students in a much better position to compete,” Principal John Toth noted. “I’d like to see them be able to compete more directly with students from larger high schools."
