Karen Keith Bowling of T ront Royal and Kenneth Newton Nuckols of Glen Allen were married September 9th at 2:00 in the Berea Baptist Church in Rockville, Virginia. The Rev. Thomas Moak officiated in the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Welch of Front Royal and the late Charles E. Bowling, Jr. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Page Nuckols of Beaverdam, Ky..
The organist was Mrs. Susan Foster. Mr. Charles J. Welch was soloist and Mr. Richard Brady was accompanist.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a traditional formal length gown of white satin, featuring a V neckline front and back edged in lace. The front decorated with drop pearls extended to a Basque Waistline. The long fitted sleeves, puffed at the shoulders, extended to jhe finger tips with Schiffli embroidery with elongated panels of embroidery in the front. The cathedral train showed an embellishment of embroidery. The head piece was a bandeau of Venise lace, Schiffli embroidery, pearls and crystal beads. The bride carried a cascading bouquet of white roses.
Miss Elizabeth Weaver of Front Royal was maid of honor. She wore a rose satin T-length gown with a Basque waistline.
