Mitchell A. Sutphin, was taken by Washington’s Medic 1 advanced life support ambulance to Fauquier Hospital, where he was transferred by med-evac helicopter to Fairfax Hospital. He is reported to be in stable condition with head and abdominal injuries.
Mrs. Sutphin was transported to Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal by Flint Hill’s rescue squad, where she was treated for minor injuries and released.
Trooper Knick said that the young child was sitting in the back seat of the car, restrained in a child safety seat. However, Mrs. Sutphin was not wearing her seat belt, and Trooper Knick charged her with failure to weara seat belt.
