NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that, on Tuesday, September 26, 1989, at 8.00 p.m. in the Courtroom of the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County in Washington, Virginia, the Planning Commission of the Town of Washington, Virginia will hold a public hearing pursuant to Section 15.1-431 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, for the purpose of considering amendments to Historic District Ordinance for the purpose of ensuring sidewalks and storm drains; also for the purpose of considering three amendments to the Zoning Ordinance: 1) to provide for special use permit application for the use of individual privately owned sewage collection and treatment facilities (sometimes known as package treatment) in those cases where an existing building and lot loses its ability to use its septic tank and drainfield dut to saturation of the soils or failure to meet the standards of the State Health Department; 2) to define dead-end streets and provide for a limitation of no more than two (2) building lots on dead-end streets; 3) to provide for the use of cluster subdivisions in land zoned rural residential; and 4) for the purpose of the adoption of an ordinance to regulate the use of helicopters in the Town of Washington. All parties who are interested in said proposed amendments are invited to attend and to present their views. Copies of the proposed amendments will be available for review by the public in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County, Virginia and at the Zoning Administrator’s office during normal business hours.
