The regular soccer season started yesterday with an away game against George Mason. The home opener will be this Friday against Randolph Macon Academy at 4 p.m.
Wakefield has
new teachers
Pamela W. Lynn, interim headmistress of Wakefield School, has announced several staff changes for the 1989-90 school year.
Patricia Tucker, who has been at Wakefield since 1983, has been named Development Assistant to the Headmistress. Mrs. Tucker has a B.S. from Radford University and an M.A. from George Washington University, both in education. She will be working closely with Doug Clarke, chairman of the Wakefield Finance Committee.
New faculty members for this year are Keith Baurer, logic, ancient world civilization, registrar; Floy Bunning, second grade; Pamela Henry, Physical education; Mark Jackley, tenth grade English, American history; J.J. Jones, sixth and eighth grade English, sixth grade history; Todd Landis, ninth grade English, American history; Traudle Mahaney, German; Nicolai Tchertkoff, French and Russian, Peggy Wood, first-sixth grade French.
