The WSA has until the end of the year to come up with a plan if it is to stick with the schedule of having all tanks pumped every three years on a rotating basis. The first tanks were pumped nearly three years ago. ViceChairman Carson Johnson pointed out that a three to five year schedule had originally been recommended because “that way you only have sludge. You don’t have any crvstalized material caked on there."
Mr. Johnson suggested that the authority could skip a year and still be within the three to five year guidelines as long as it was prepared to pump any tanks that might need to be emptied sooner.
James Swindler III said that he felt the tank at his parents’ business. Country Manor, might haveX^tp^be pumped sooner. “You’re using too much disinfectanT'up' there,” Mr. Estes said. “A septic tank needs bacteria."
