All 1970-crop wheat allotment
notices for farms in Rappahannock County are in the mail and most producers should now have received them, Chairman H. S. Barksdale announced today. The Rappahannock County’s allotment of 620 acres was allocated among 71 wheat farms, he said. A 46 acre reserve has been kept for possible corrections and adjustments.
A Children’s Hour will be held at the Rappahannock Library on Saturday mornings, beginning Saturday, September 13 at 10 o’clock. All young children will be welcomed at an hour of reading aloud by a group of high school students who will include Miss Cil Davis, Miss Donna Roy and Miss Joanne Ay lor.

Piedmont Regular Baptist
Church, near Sperryville, will be reopened and revival services held this weekend. Services will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. with Homecoming on Sunday, September 15. Elder Allen Estep, pastor of Five Forks Regular Baptist Church, will be guest speaker, with additional speakers on Sunday. The public is invited.
