Halloween party
Trinity Episcopal Church will once again host a Happy Halloween party for children on Oct. 31. Following the traditional hotdog supper at 6:30 there will be a costume parade and the showing of the video, “The Wizard of Oz.” Everyone is encouraged, (but not required) to dress as their favorite character from Oz. Join us for a fun, spookv. and safe evening!
Family portraits, Nov. 4
Rappahannock County Elementary School and the seventh grade presents family portraits on Saturday, Nov. 4. The cost per portrait will be $10 for an 11x14. Homemakers Achievement night
Rappahannock County Homemakers Clubs will hold their annual Achievement Night program on Monday, Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Amissville Baptist Church. After the program a silent auction will be held. The public is cordially invited to attend.
Agriculture conference planned
A conference on “Forces of Change Affecting Agriculture and Rural Virginia” will be held Nov. 9 and 10 in Richmond. To be sponsored by Virginia Tech at the Virginia Cooperative Extension Service the conference will discuss such problems as depressed farm income, the challenge of new cost saving technologies and the inviable part-time farming opportunities. Flexercise classes
A 6-week series of flexercise classes will begin Monday, Nov. 6. Afternoon classes will be held Mondays and Wednesdays at 4 p.m. at the Washington fire hall. Evening classes will be held Mondays and Wednesdays at 6 p.m. at Rappahannock Elementary School. Class fee is $30 for twice a week. Call Rose Ann Sharp at 675-3887, evenings for i more information. Musical program at Hopewell
There will be a musical program at the Hopewell Baptist Church, Sperryville on Friday, Oct. 27 at 7:30 p.m. The guests will be the Deanette’s. This event is sponsored by the Senior Choir. All are welcome to attend.
