With Halloween night just around the corner, Rappahannock children are looking forward to costumes and candy and all the night has in store.
Even though Rappahannock County has no organized town trick-or-treat hours, county parents and costumed ghouls and ghosts need not worry about actitives. Everything from sock-hops and haunted hayrides to biblical fashion shows and educational videos are offered.
The fun begins Friday, Oct. 27 when the Rappahannock County Parent Teacher Association (PTA) sponsors a teen dance for sixth and seventh graders.
Costumed teens are invited to dance the night away , munch on pizza and sweets provided by the PTA, carve pumpkins and compete for the costume prizes all under the watchful eyes of adult chaparones. 1 But, this dance is not just for the kids. PTA representative Maggie Rogers encourages parents to attend the dance with their teens. “This is not just a dance for the kids,” Mrs. Rogers said, encouraging parents to come
