GED testing
in Warren Co.
The General Educational Development (GED Test) for those persons who were once, enrolled in school but who did not complete graduation requirements, will be given on Dec. 9. Testing will begin at 8 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m. The test will be given in the Warren County Vocational Center in Front Royal.
The tests, administered and supervised by the Adult Education Service of the Department of Education, are designed to measure the educational development of individuals who left school before graduation.
Certificates may be issued to civilian and military personnel who meet the following requirements:
• An applicant must be at least 18 years of age. Under special circumstances which are considered justifiable by local school authorities, the age limit may be lowered.
• Applicants must have been a physical resident of Virginia thirty days prior to applying for testing.
• Persons interested in taking the tests may apply at their local office of the Superintendent of Schools in the County in which they reside. Rappahannock County residents should call the School Board office (987-8773.)
Applications will be accepted through Dec. 1. A fee of $20 is charged for the battery of five tests and $4 for each re-test.
