Hallelujah night
A Hallelujah night will be held at Family Worship Center, Old School House on Rt. 626, Mt. Salem Avenue, Washington as an alternative to Halloween. Hallelujah night will be held Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 7-9 p.m. “Dress up as your favorite Bible character or one of God’s creations and join us for an evening of fun, games, prizes and candy,” said an organizer. Admission is free and all are welcome.
Preservationist to speak
The Rappahannock County Historical Society will sponsor a talk by Hugh Miller, the director of Virginia’s Department of Historic Resources, at its meeting on Sunday, Nov. 5. Mr. Miller will speak on the department’s plans for preserving the Commonwealth’s heritage, and will also answer questions about topics of local and area interest. The meeting will begin at 3 p.m. The public is invited to attend this free program.
Youth football league to meet
The Rappahannock Youth Football League will meet on Monday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. at Rappahannock High School. The board of directors will be elected at this time.
