State Police
seek applicants
The Culpeper office of the Virginia Employment Commission will assist in Virginia State Police in a special recruitment effort for state troopers on Tuesday, Nov. 14, starting at 9:30 a.m. Virginia State Trooper M.D. Duncan will be recruiting at the V.E.C. on 110 W. Cameron, Street, Culpeper, at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
State trooper candidates must be at least 21 years of age, a high school graduate or possess a G.E.D. and meet certain physical standards including 20/40 uncorrected eyesight with no color deficiency, pass a physical agility test, and generally be in good physical condition. A written examination and a thorough background investigation including a polygraph will be required prior to employment.
Successful state trooper candidates must be willing to accept an assignment anywhere in Virginia.
