Someone once said that Tony and his associates “Never play bluegrass anymore.” In response, Tony created the “Bluegrass Album Band” series with Doyle Lawson, Bobby Hicks, J.D. Crowe, Jerry Douglas and Todd Phillips. This super group breathed new life into the old chestnuts of bluegrass music, and Tony and friends demonstrated that it really could be done as well as the originals.
His current album is called “Native American” and reflects his energies and his own unique blending of his diverse roots.
