He’s worn out a brand-new truck. The county is more than getting its money’s worth.” “He ought to be on the landfill committee, maybe as a non-voting member,” Mr. Massie suggested. Mr. Gilkey noted that the committee never takes any votes, but makes recommendations to the board based on a concensus. “I’ve voted in favor of every recommendation of the landfill committee,” Mr. Massie said. “I think it’s a good committee. I think Mr. Artz should be at the meetings. I’m trying to find a compromise.” “I think the situation can be rectified by John talking to him,” Col. Bingham said. “He gets overzealous. He works hard. I’d rather have to slow a man down than prod him to go. He’s a good employee. His major failing is he’s overzealous.” “I withdraw my request,” Mr. Anderson said, ending the discussion.
