Blue Ridge Christmas
The Sperryville Business Council will celebrate a Blue Ridge Christmas Nov. 24, 25 and 26. Door prizes, seasonal sales, free refreshments, wreaths, trees, open houses and Christmas cheer will be enjoyed by all. Little League meeting
The initial parents and coaches’ meeting for the Rappahannock County Little League is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 16, at the Rappahannock County High School. The agenda will include, among other things, the election of officers for 1990 a discussion of the structure of the league and how to cope with the rapid growth the league has experienced over the past several years. Rappahannock Literacy Volunteers will hold their monthly meeting Friday, Nov. 10, beginning at 9:30 a.m., in the Trinity Church Parish Hall. All members and any others who would like to explore GED certificates are cordially invited.
Youth League Football benefit
A benefit for the Rappahannock Youth League Football will be held on Saturday, Nov. 11, at Horseshoe Hills Family Restaurant, Route 211 west of Sperryville. A live broadcast by Big K Radio Station featuring Bobby Jo Watson and Tom Cat Reeder will held from 11 a m. to 2 p.m. Beginning at 2 p.m., Country Sensations will be playing. Donations of baked goods and-or yard sale items would be appreciated. Pre-registration for the 1990-91 Youth League Football will be accepted on Nov. 11. Flint Hill VFD fundraiser
The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department is sponsoring a gun raffle to raise money for the department. One gun will be given away for each of the next 12 months. Tickets are $20 each, are good for the entire 12-month period and are available from any Flint Hill VFD member.
