Apology due for ‘pigs ’ remark

“I attended the Landfill Committee meeting as a citizen,” Stonewall District Supervisor Robert Anderson told his fellow board rpembers at their meeting on Monday.
Landfill operator Harold Artz “made comments about the people of Scrabble,” Mr. Anderson told the board, comments which were then reported in the Rappahannock News on Oct. 19. “I think Mr. Artz should appologize to the people of Scrabble. We should take Mr. Artz off the committee and have him give a written report.
“From what I hear, people are taking stuff to Scrabble and Huntly because they don’t want to deal with Mr. Artz. The landfill does look nice, but his jurisdiction should end at the gates there. People other than the people of Scrabble do put trash there,” Supervisor Anderson told the board.
