Mrs. Thornhill was a native, of Culpeper County and a member of Culpeper Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs., Lucy Bagwell and Mrs. Mary T. Cooper, both of Culpeper, Mrs. Hilda Clore of Madison; four grandchildren, Katheryn Addison of Servem Park, Md., Ronnie Thornhill of Northern Virginia, Brenda Tobias of Culpeper, John W. Clore of Harrisonburg and five greatgrandchildren.
Her husband was the late Clinton Thornhill.
Her parents were the late John W. and Mary Pierce Settle.
Graveside services were at Culpeper Masonic Cemetery on Nov. 4, with Rev. John S. Farrar officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Culpeper Baptist Retirement Health Care Center, P.O. Box 191, Culpeper, VA, or the Culpeper County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 731, Culpeper, VA, in memory of Mrs. Thornhill.
