Ed Clark of Flint Hill has

been named executive director of the Conservation Council of Virginia Foundation. The Richmond based organization offers services to both government and private citizens interested in conservation, with a focus on education and information.

The Rappahannock Lions Club woh three award categories at the District Fall Conference in Fredericksburg on October 27. The county club received .two recognition badges for its banner, indicating support for the Lions of Virginia Foundation and the Old Dominion Eye Bank. The Rappahannock Lions also won the State Achievement Award for overall excellence in a long list of judging criteria.

Navy retired) of Amissville has been named Wildlife Conservationist of the Year by the Virginia Wildlife Federation.
