Advancement of-Academical; - Talented Youth.
To qualify for this gifted program, students must score at or above the 97th national percentile on a standardized aptitude or achievement test.
Inglis will have the opportunity to take the Scholastic Aptitude Test, which is designed for high school juniors and seniors. In May, students in the program who score particularly high will be honored at award ceremonies.
Last year Michelle Paine was recognized by Gov. Baliles. She scored 530 on the verbal section, 430 on the math, and 55 on the Test of Standard Written English; both her verbal and TSWE scores were above the mean for 1988 college-bound seniors nationwide. Also scoring above the mean were Bucky Dusek in TSWE, Diana Fry in verbal and TSWE, and Trishka Parker in verbal.
