A committee consisting of Rev. Nan Brown of Fluvanna County, Rev. Frank Lewis and Shirley Lewis of the Antioch Baptist Church in Madison County, Phyllis Highland of the Shady Grove Baptist Church in Orange County, Ethel Green of the Antioch Baptist Chruch in Culpeper, Conway Porter, president of the Fauquier County NAACP, Charlotte Freeman of the Promise Land Baptist Church in Washington, Ms. Lee and Mrs. Jeffries will oversee the development of Project M.O.R.E. Ms. Lee and Mrs. Jeffries are the project coordinators.
“An exciting workshop for the volunteers is being planned to launch the project,” Ms. Lee said. “There will be gospel singing, prayers, food, well-recognized speakers, as well as a lot of good information for the volunteers.”
The workshop will be held at the Antioch Baptist Church in Culpeper on Saturday, Nov. 18.
