Washington’s Town Council last week approved a proposal to try again to resolve the problem of “straddle lots,” those parcels bisected by the town/county boundary.

The resolution, which must now be approved by the county’s Board of Supervisors, closely follows the original proposal ratified by both bodies last year. That resolution, however, found no takers among the landowners affected by the boundary problem.
