Survivors include his wife, Jean Radford Payne of Rixeyville; two sons, Daniel Keith Payne of Rixeyville, Andrew Craig Payne of Culpeper; two grandsons, Brandon Michael Payne, Steven Smith; and three sisters, Virginia Boyd of Bellevue, Neb., Dorothy Phipps of Riverdale, Md., Anne Talley of Rockville, Md.
Funeral services were held May 27 at Clore Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Garland Hines officiated. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery.
