Methodist Women will hold their monthly Spiritual Life Program beginning at 9 a.m.

Amissville Homemakers Club will hold their monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. on June 3, at Amissville Baptist. Prospective new members are always welcomed.

Amissville Fireman’s Carnival is set for June 27-30. The parade will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 28. To enter call Shelia or Sharon at 9374357.

Contestants are reminded they have less than a month to sell tickets for the $1,000 cash drawing to be held on Saturday evening. Money and tickets are to be turned in at 9 p.m. on parade night at the fire hall. Crowning will be held at 8 p.m. or/, Friday, June 29. (For your information, last year’s winner of the queen and princess title collected almost $3,000 and almost $2500, respectively. No matter how many tickets you sell, you will be recognized for the amount; just do your best.)

The Annual Rappahannock Talent and Variety Show will be held at the Gay Street Theater in Washington on Saturday, June 30 from 7 to 9 p. m. The Show will feature dancers, opera, folk, gospel, poetry readings, piano solos, etc. Tickets are $5 at the door. For more details call 675-3193.
