HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR A/TRAINEE -17319 Our Warrenton Residency is seeking a qualified individual to perform duties related to processing permit and subdivision development requests. Reviews , permits for private and commercial entrances, utilities, and land use to ensure compliance with Department policies and procedures. Must have knowledge of construction materials, methods, practices, and principles of roadway design; and general construction inspection techniques. The successful candidate will have the ability to read and interpret rules, regulations, contracts, and construction plans and specifications: perform basic mathematics including geometry: use engineertg field equipment: record data and prepare reports; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; maintain good working relationships with all levels of people: and pass materials certifications schools within two years of entering this position. Applicants will be considered for the position at the level of Construction Inspector Trainee if the qualified applicant pool for Construction Inspector A is insufficient. A Trainee must have knowledge of basic mathematics, including geometry; and the ability to record data clearly and concisely, rad and Interpret instructional and technical manuals, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. A valid VA operator's license is required. Salary: $17,125 - $23,391 -Inspector A: $13,709 - $17,125 - Inspector Trainee with excellent benefits.
