Their guests were Tracy Guidice, Patsy and Charles Wharton of Woodville, Karen Williams, Grady and Doris Vest, Dee Welch, Leigh and Tony Gomery and Johnny Vest, Meredith and Leslie of Virginia Beach, Barry Hudson, Russell and Shelia Nicholson and Shane, Alice Nicholson and Jonathan of Front Royal and Jerry Lee Jenkins of Sperry ville.

Mrs. Owen Sealock, Mrs. Roland Welch, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Welch, Ryan and Courtney, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Welch and Billy, Dale and Debbie Welch, Dan Vandhorf spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. James Garwood and Mr. and Mrs. Sterling at Middleburg.

Dick Brady of Oakton visited his mother, Mrs. Moffett Brady on Sunday.

The Flint Hill Bridge Club was entertained in July at the home of Mrs. Robert Eastham.

Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Emory Russell, Mrs. W.A. Moore, Mrs. M.R. Bradford Jr., and Mrs. Richard Latham. Others playing were Mrs. Thomas Eastham, Mrs. Earl Edmonds, Mrs. Frank Gannon and Mrs. James Massie.

Monday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hickerson were Mrs. Annie Huff and son, David and Mrs. Etta Estes. Sunday guests were Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Lillard and Dana of Springfield and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lillard of Etlan. Mrs. Hickerson was celebrating her birthday. Mrs. Hickerson continues to recuperate at her home.

The Flint Hill Firemen’s Annual Carnival came to a close on Saturday night with the grand prize a 1990 Ford Escort going to Cecil Williams Sr. of Huntly, the purebred Black Angus Heifer went to Donald L. Haynes of Front Royal and $100.00 to Mrs. Mary M. Blaisdale of Flint Hill. The two season tickets to 1990 Redskins home football game went to Jonathan Nichols of Front Royal, living room furniture won by Tommy Pangel of Front Royal and fire chiefs car decanter went to Joe Sinnott of Stephens City. The homemade quilt won by Frances North of Front Royal, limited edition painting went to C.E. Giles of Washington, and the homemade afghan went to Charlie B. Russell of Flint Hill.

Johnny Vest and Meredith and Leslie, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Gomery of Virginia Beach spent the weekend with Mrs. Christine Vest and Mrs. Johir-S. Dodson at Sperry ville and attended the firemen’s carnival here.

Mrs. Helen Wright and Richard Looney of Woodstock visited their sister, Mrs. Christine Vest on Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Howell, Gordon Howell and Dana Lunsford all of Madison Heights, Lynchburg spent the week with Mrs. Howell’s mother
