in 1957. She attended the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg and was a member of the William and Mary College Chorus.
She was employed by the Fauquier National Bank after college. In 1966, she married the Rev. John Harrison Willis III, of Lignum, and was an active church worker, Sunday School teacher, music teacher and director in the Virginia Baptist churches where her husband served — Powhatan, Famham, Blacksburg, Orange and Marshall.
She was a member and director of the Tri-country Symphonic Band and accompanist for Orange County Public Schools, Marshall Jr. High School, Tiny Tots in Warrenton and Pleasant Vale Baptist Church. She sang solo for churches and secular affairs and in later years, accompanied herself on her autoharp.
She is survived by her husband, John, and son, Mark, and two sisters, Carol Ann R. Whitmore of Statesville, N.C., and Linda R. Hann of Catonsville, Md.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be sent to the Sandra Willis Fund, Marshall Baptist Church.
Maggie Jenkins
Mrs. Maggie Lee Jenkins, 91, of Culpeper, widow of Frank Ashby Jenkins, died August 6, at Culpeper Health Care Center. She was a native of Madison County.
She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth S. Grigsby of Castleton; a son, Edward R. Cubbage of Culpeper; nine grandchildren; and nine great-greatgrandchildren. Her first husband was the late Thomas A. Cubbage.
Funeral services will be held today, Aug. 9 at 2 p.m. at Geest Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Floyd T. Binns officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ennis A. Norman, Randy Norman, Floyd T. Grigsby, James A. Grigsby, Ricky L. Grigsby and Turner Haynes.
